We didn’t plan to become Long Beach’s go-to pool service company. It started with one person willing to work for free just to learn the craft right.
Fifteen years ago, our founder spent two years working without pay under a mentor who owned a pool service business. While bartending nights to cover bills, he spent every day learning not just how to clean pools, but how to truly understand these systems from the inside out.
After those two years of grinding, Adam’s Pool and Spa was born. What started as a one-person operation has grown into a full-service team serving hundreds of residential and commercial properties across Long Beach and surrounding areas.
Most pool companies show up, do their work, and leave. No explanation. No transparency. Just “trust us.”
We do the opposite.
Our approach:
We call it “Pool School.” Some customers call it the first time they’ve actually understood their pool.
The education isn’t a sales pitch. When customers understand what’s happening with their equipment, they make better decisions. They catch problems early. They know which upgrades make sense and which don’t.
We don’t need to sell anything. The knowledge speaks for itself.
Most pool builders don’t do service work. They dig holes, install equipment, and move to the next project. The construction money is bigger, so they skip mastering the maintenance side.
We went the opposite direction.
Our service range:
We’re one of the few Long Beach companies that handle everything from digging the hole to maintaining your pool forever. That matters because when your pool company understands the whole lifecycle, we make different choices during construction. We install equipment knowing we’ll maintain it. We build pools knowing we’ll fix future problems. We don’t cut corners because we deal with the consequences.
In the last few years, our repair capabilities have become some of the best you’ll find anywhere. We troubleshoot problems other companies can’t figure out. We handle complex commercial systems. We understand equipment at a level that comes from years of hands-on experience.
Not happy with our work? We’ll come back and make it right. We’ve always operated this way, and we can’t remember the last time someone actually needed to use it.
Call us today, hear back by end of business. Our dedicated office manager makes sure nobody falls through the cracks.
Everything we do—repairs, installations, equipment—comes with one year of parts and labor coverage.
As Jandy certified installers, our customers get extended manufacturer warranties. Install three Jandy pieces together (pump, filter, heater) and get five years of coverage on everything.
We’re certified NPT.com installers. Our surface installations come with lifetime warranties. Most people’s jaws drop when we mention that.
Variable speed pumps save customers 30 to 40 percent on electricity costs. The pump pays for itself in three to four years, sometimes less with Southern California Edison rates.
It drives us crazy seeing pools run old single-speed pumps 8 hours daily. That’s burning money.
Our energy solutions:
We explain the actual math to every customer. Most upgrade within a year once they see the numbers.
Adam started at 20 years old, working for free for two years just to learn properly. After bartending nights and learning pools during the day, he launched Adam’s Pool and Spa with one goal: provide the service and education he wished every pool owner could experience.

We serve both residential properties (typically families who actually use their pools) and commercial properties (apartment complexes, condos, hotels, municipal facilities).
Residential customers appreciate our educational approach. Commercial maintenance managers appreciate that we understand 24/7 systems and actually show up when we say we will.
We’re not interested in high-pressure sales calls or making you decide today. If you want to understand your pool better, figure out what’s going on with your equipment, or get straight answers about what needs fixing, call us.
We’ll spend real time with you. No rushing. No jargon. Just honest conversation about what your pool needs and why.
